The menu follows the landscape of Pongau, from valley and streams to mountain summit, translated into carefully composed dishes. It is a dining experience with a clear sense of place, designed to stay with you long after the final course.

Surprise Gourmet Menu at the Michelin Star Restaurant "Kräuterreich"

At Kräuterreich, 60 km from Salzburg, there is no à la carte menu. Instead, you choose the number of courses and tell us about anything you cannot or prefer not to eat. Vitus Winkler and his team then create a surprise menu especially for the evening.

Since Vitus Winkler's Alpine cuisine focuses strongly on regional produce and traditional preparation methods, we do not offer a vegan surprise menu. However, we're very happy to compose a vegetarian surprise menu for you.

As a certified sommelier, Vitus Winkler selects the wine pairing for each menu together with the head sommelier, drawing on wines from Austria and beyond. An alcohol-free pairing is also available, featuring house-made herbal essences, kombucha and carefully selected alcohol-free wines.
